A day in the life of an Early Years setting

After taking a step back from the Early Years sector and moving into Photography, it felt natural to include Early Years within my services. I first photographed Hannah & her Mini Monty's cohort in 2025, just months after she opened the door to her home-based setting, aiming to showcase Early Years and everything behind the scenes that parents don't usually see in traditional nursery portraiture. As a parent, the thing I feel most passionate about when it comes to childcare is the bond that children create with these secondary caregivers. We know that the first 5 years of a child's life are incredibly formative, so it only seems right that we're able to take a look into the environment, activities and relationships that provide the foundation for the rest of their lives before they take their first steps into their school careers. I can only hope parents treasure these insights into their children's lives as much as I treasure getting to photograph them.
